| Bio: | My name is Amanda, I'm 26 years old and from the town of Louisville, Kentucky ... the home of the Kentucky Derby. When I was a teenager I hoped to become a public relations specialist for the NBA and spent many a hour doing the high school journalism thing. I went on to continue my education in college, obtaining a B.A. in Mass Communications in the summer of 2005. College was a rough time for me as I learned that some friendships don't grow as we do and I toiled with many failed love interests. I practiced witch craft, read tarot cards and questioned how God could love someone like me. I drank like a fish and smoked like a freight train. I returned to Louisville in the fall of 05, I fumbled around from temp job to temp job hoping to find at least insurance and decent pay. During the course of this I was able to take some fun trips, have some learning experiences and meet the love of my life. We're two very different people but I suppose that's what keeps it interesting. I also around the same time as meeting the love of my life, became involved with the Catholic church and fully converted on April 7, 2007. I finally obtained the good pay and full time benefits of permanent employee status on Saint Patrick's Day of 2008. Life is good ... it's a little less than a fairy tale ... but its my story. I'm barely five foot seven inches tall and I'm a size 20. Why am I sharing that? Because girls should be proud of what they are! And if you hear me talking about losing weight it's because of my urge to be healthy! Not to be on a magazine cover!    * In 20 minutes your blood pressure will drop back down to normal. * In 8 hours the carbon monoxide (a toxic gas) levels in your blood stream will drop by half, and oxygen levels will return to normal. * In 48 hours your chance of having a heart attack will have decreased. All nicotine will have left your body. Your sense of taste and smell will return to a normal level. * In 72 hours your bronchial tubes will relax, and your energy levels will increase. * In 2 weeks your circulation will increase, and it will continue to improve for the next 10 weeks. * In three to nine months coughs, wheezing and breathing problems will dissipate as your lung capacity improves by 10%. * In 1 year your risk of having a heart attack will have dropped by half. * In 5 years your risk of having a stroke returns to that of a non-smoker. * In 10 years your risk of lung cancer will have returned to that of a non-smoker. * In 15 years your risk of heart attack will have returned to that of a non-smoker.  | |||||
